  • Refining sentences to ensure flow and concision

  • Making minor changes to wording to improve readability

  • Adapting vocabulary to suit the document type and to ensure language, style and flow is appropriate for the intended reader

  • Removing repetition for concision

  • Fixing inconsistencies, including in capitalisation, punctuation and layout
  • Highlighting unclear sentences and suggesting corrections
  • Ensuring continuity of the characters’ names, ages and attributes, and of places and events, and consistency of the narrative voice

  • Ensuring your document follows your chosen style guide (if you do not have a style guide, I will compile one as I work)

I offer high quality proofreading services at affordable rates – my costs are based on the length of your document and follow the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading guidelines.

Proofreading: £0.010 per word/£10 per 1000 words.
